CALLING ALL SCHOOLS TO THE GREAT BAKE SALE
The time-honoured traditional school bake sale will transition into the twenty-first century on Tuesday 7 February 2012, when Muffin Break’s Great Bake Sale will officially be launched on Facebook. The digital campaign will be open to all pre-schools, primary schools and high schools across the nation, with almost $4,000 up for grabs for the winning school of each Australian state. Furthermore, the school that scores the most number of votes nationally will win a state-of-the-art You-Touch Interactive LCD Panel, valued at more than $8,745. To win Muffin Break’s Great Bake Sale, students, parents, teachers or other school representatives must register their school on the Muffin Break page on Facebook, before rallying the most number of votes for their school before the close of the voting period at 10.00am (AEST) on Tuesday 13 March 2012. Voters do not need to be actively involved in the school. Anyone can vote as well as view the progress of their favourite school via the Great Bake Sale online leaderboard. The Muffin Break page on Facebook will also feature a function for voters to easily contact their friends to lure the maximum number of votes for their school. The winning school of each state will receive 1,000 freshly-baked, low-fat, healthy-option muffins – courtesy of Muffin Break – to sell at their school bake sale on a date of the their choosing. Schools will get to price their muffins – each valued at RRP $3.90 at Muffin Break stores – and all profits raised on the day will go directly to the school and can be spent at its discretion. Sure to be the best and most memorable bake sale Aussie kids (and adults!) will ever attend, the prize for each state-based winning school will also include a special appearance by the Muffin Man and other festive delights from Muffin Break to enhance the school’s Great Bake Sale.
