Children’s Bluebird of Happiness

Chosen for love, treasured for a lifetime — the Bluebird of Happiness.

The Bluebird of Happiness has been a part of the Wallace Bishop story for generations, a timeless symbol of hope for over 100 years.

It began in 1917 with Wallace Bishop Snr and his wife, May, who brought his goldsmithing and her delicate enamelling skills from England. Together, they created the Bluebird design, inspired by the belief that bluebirds brings happiness and good fortune.

Following World War II, Wallace Bishop & Son crafted the Bluebird of Happiness brooch, gifting to thousands of children as a symbol of hope. For many, it was their first piece of jewellery, given by someone who loved them.

We are proud to continue this beautiful tradition, keeping the joy of the Bluebird alive for new hearts and new memories.
